I’m definitely missing some of my past favourites. Rock and love are the passion and sentimentality of adolescence, followed by a process of cooling down. I’m still a listener, but I never take music as an exit of my fantasies, because it’s only a small spot in my world of desire. Nowadays I usually listen to some MP3s here and there, so it’s hard to say exactly what I’ve been listening to.
(GNO Top 10 series invites Chinese sound artists/experimental musicians to list music/albums that are either their personal favorites or have crucial influence on them as artists. By doing this, we try to present the Chinese aural art scene in the context of the global music ecology.)
