Scanner/2nd GZ Triennial
by lawrenceReceived Scanner (Robin Rimbaud)’s new CD “Flower Echoes” this afternoon, this is the work he composed for the 2nd Guangzhou Triennial, opening on Nov. 18 at Guangdong Museum of Art, Guangzhou. Rimbaud will perform the piece live as part of the open ceremony and will probably present the work in several forums to be held at several Universities. The work contains field-recordings he made in Guangzhou and some traditional Chinese instruments samples, plus the reading of various names of streets, districts, landmarks of Guangzhou - in Chinese.
I’ll write more about the CD after a second listening.
