Stefanie L. Ku

Stefanie L. Ku is a media artist whose main concern is sculpture of sound and moving image. Born in Taiwan, 1977, Ku moved to the U.S. in her primary school years. She started her musical education as a classical piano player at the age of five. After obtaining a diploma in composition, she went further to study multimedia art, and graduated with a master's degree from the Dept. of Media Arts & Technology, U.C. Santa Barbara.

In May, 2004, Ku performed in Sounding Taipei 2004 festival, Taipei, Taiwan. In the November of the same year she was invited for concert performance at Conciousness Reframed 2004: Qi and Complexity, an academic forum and composium on computer music held in Beijing.

Ku's current works focus on the transformation of the shapeless vision attached with pure conceptions to decipherable message.
